Dr. Speece is Chancellor of Pennsylvania State University, Berks College. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Her key areas of scholarship include AIDS and AIDS education, cell adhesion proteins, and ecological diversity. She has 39 years of academic experience in general science, biology, chemistry and administration. She has served as chair or officer of many professional associations and societies. Dr. Speece has extensive experience in fundraising, program development and managing budgets in excess of $22 million. She is an accomplished author with over 32 published works as well as a professional public speaker.
